Friends of Homelands is a fund-raising committee (PTA) run by parents of children in the school and is open to all parents, grandparents, teachers and carers who want to help make our school's future brighter!

We actively support the school through our fund-raising efforts, raising money for all those little extras that help to enhance our children's lives in school.

The success of the Friends depends entirely on your support.

We greatly appreciate any assistance: this can be anything from attending Friends' meetings and sharing your ideas, spending time helping out at an event or coming along to Friends' events with your family and friends.

Details of future meetings and events will be posted on this website and on our school noticeboard (on the left-hand side as you come through the main school gate). We will also send home newsletters and put posters up around the school to advertise our events nearer the time.

Every penny raised from activities and events is spent on educational trips, improving facilities and providing much-needed resources within our school.

You don't have to be on the committee to get involved – any support you can offer will be welcome!

Some companies will pledge a sum of money relating to the amount that their employee has raised for the charity of their choice (i.e. Friends of Homelands).

Match funding is a very easy way to raise extra funds with very little effort on our part! The following list shows just some of the companies that are known to give match funding:

  • Abbey National;
  • Alliance & Leicester;
  • Asda;
  • Barclays Bank;
  • BT;
  • Debenhams;
  • HSBC;
  • J Sainsbury;
  • Marks & Spencers plc;
  • Natwest Group;
  • Royal Bank of Scotland;
  • Tesco plc

If you work for one of these companies why not ask your manager if they would match funds for our PTA?

Please note: This is by no means a definitive list of companies so if you're not sure,  ask your boss!

Friends of Homelands meeting are held regularly in the school staff room – everybody welcome.
